Calm Inspirations

“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."
Dalai Lama

Dear friends,

Many peaceful and warm greetings. These are interesting times to say the least, but we do hope that you are keeping well as we all adjust, accommodate and evolve to meet new circumstances.

This is a short note to say that we are putting morning meditations on hold at Federation Square until the 16th of April for obvious reasons - and will keep you updated accordingly as the situation unfolds.

However, we still would like to provide a regular means of support.

We are proposing a new series of 3-5 minute reflections, meditations and inspirations called
Calm Inspirations which can be received by you through WhatsApp.

We will be inviting meditators from across communities (faith and non-faith) to share short reflections and meditations relevant to this time - and designed to be listened to first thing in the morning to create a calm, healthy, strong and positive inner environment - before we meet the day.

To receive these inspirations, please follow these 2 steps:

1) Text the Calm in the City number: +61 406 371 894 with the message "Calm Inspirations".
2) Add this Calm in the City number to your contacts.

The series will start on Sunday 22nd March, and the first recording will be sent out as a Broadcast WhatsApp message (which means that no-one else will see your number and neither can you see anyone else's).

We hope that, even though we may not be able to connect physically, that these 'real time' meditations and reflections connect us all 'subtlely' bringing us closer in feelings of calm, kindness and courage, as we hold the space for ourselves and others - together.

With thoughts of peace and love,

The Calm in the City Team

PS. If you don't have WhatsApp - we can post on Twitter as well www.twitter.com/calminthecity - please let us know if you would like this by texting the above number from your mobile phone "Twitter".
