LCC Church Family,

Hi! I’ve been centered on Psalm 46 today. It tells us God is our help in trouble and encourages us to be present with Him. Now is a great time to pause and read that Psalm.

It was great to be together Sunday though we were not all in the same place. I’m thankful for the community we have that helps us through times like this. It’s hard to believe Sunday was just two days ago. The pace of information is coming so fast that it seems to alter time. I want to give you an update on where things are at with LCC and the impact of the Coronavirus. Some quick updates:

  1. With the recommendation from the president and the governor of Ohio, we are looking to avoid meeting in groups of above 10 and further limiting physical contact. Therefore, we are cancelling all events at the LCC building for now. This includes youth group (see what we're doing instead here). We are, however, exploring ways we can make our building available to the needs of the community during this crisis.
  2. We are asking all of our cell groups to move online (video) to meet. We have encouraged our cell leaders to use zoom.us moving forward and for our groups to continue to one-another during this time. (Zoom is easy and you do not need a login to join a meeting. You will simply be invited by a host (cell leader) via email and can join.) I will say it again - this is an important time not to isolate but to live life together. This may be the norm for awhile. If you don’t have a group, let us know. We can help.
  3. Sunday mornings, we will continue to stream the service (worship/message) online and provide resources as we did last Sunday. We encourage cell groups to meet online (through a platform such as zoom) before or after the service.
  4. Response to help the Food Pantry has been fantastic! We were able to cover all of week one’s slots - preparing food boxes for those in need. They have reached out and asked for help with week two. I’m asking everyone to come help for one shift. (You’ll be working alongside 5 other people assembling boxes to be handed out the next day to the community). In addition, the food pantry has asked for drivers to deliver meals to houses. You’ll see both of these links to help here:

Continue to be the body of Christ by:

  1. Reaching our to those more vulnerable in our body
  2. One-anothering in groups and body (call, text, encourage, care)
  3. Safely reaching out to neighbors and those in need.
  4. Praying for our city and our nation.

Give thanks in all things! Embrace this opportunity to love. We’ll get through this time TOGETHER.

In Christ,
