Serving the Lord, with you!
What will happen?  Who is in control?

We read in Matthew 6:25-34

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

There is much uncertainty, but one thing I am sure of is that God is in control!  As I stand in my office on the third floor at ICSB I often see people wander by on the sidewalk below.  Rubber gloves, face mask, and iPhone in hand.  The world has changed in the last month, and it may never go back to how it was, but we have a God who knows what the future holds.  Let's join together, as we rest in Him!
Ministry Spotlight

I wanted to share some encouraging words from the ICSB director.  Use this link to view her message.

The Lord has been stretching me personally through this time of uncertainty.  I am thankful that I can rely on Him, knowing that He knows what tomorrow holds!

Our school has moved to a distance learning format.  I am amazed by the efficiency with which my teachers were able to transition their traditional classrooms into online formats!  The Lord has gifted our school with a hard working, professional group of teachers!

Please continue to pray for our school community.  There is a high level of discouragement over canceled events.  I would especially appreciate prayers for our senior class that has a number of highly anticipated events that have been postponed or canceled.

Summer Plans

In communication with our ABWE team leader and regional director, we have decided to complete some training at ABWE headquarters in Pennsylvania this summer.  This will enable us to make the transition from short term missionaries to long term missionaries. We plan to connect with people to recruit new teachers to ICSB and build our team of prayer and financial supporters.

Our schedule will likely be:
June 18 - Arrive in Traverse City around midnight
July 9-17 - Mike and Fawn ABWE training in Pennsylvania
July 18-25 - Camp-of-the Woods in New York
July 26 - Return to Michigan
August 3 - Depart for Budapest from Traverse City

We would love to connect with you while we are in the United States.  I will be contacting many of you to set up church visits soon.  Hopefully a future newsletter will have more exact meeting dates.
