My dear people,

Yesterday I received advice from our Bishops on how we might adjust our public worship in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

This means that there will be no public Sunday morning mass until further notice. But be assured, that we your priests, will continue to pray the daily Offices of the Church and celebrate the mass every day, praying for you and asking you to pray for us too.

However for the time being, our quieter weekday masses will continue and I would strongly encourage you to come to at least one of these every week, but as a precaution to sit in separate parts of the church.   Click here for weekday mass times.

The church will remain open every day for prayer and quiet and in due course I hope to announce specific times when the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the altar.

This will have a significant impact on our life together as a church family, and I encourage you to be in touch with one another so that we can maintain the bonds of love that bind us together in Christ.

Some of you have asked about volunteering to help the most vulnerable in our community and I will be in touch very shortly with details of how you can help.

"Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
St Paul's Epistle to the Romans Ch.8
With love and every blessing,
