As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to impact local business operators within the Hunter Valley Region, the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre will assist in communicating the current operational status for our local businesses.

The Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre has created a dedicated link on our website, thus creating a one stop location to ensure visitors are provided accurate information on a daily basis, however we will need your assistance!

If your business is OPEN please click on the button below and complete the required information.

We understand that restrictions are being implemented and requirements are changing rapidly, you will have opportunity to easily amend your business trading hours as required.

What is happening to assist regional tourism?

Cessnock City Council has partnered with Singleton Council, Hunter Valley Wine Tourism Association and Destination Sydney Surround North to develop a $200,000+ destination marketing campaign to promote the region and boost tourism. Unfortunately COVID-19 is causing a delay to some marketing actions, however we are doing our best to communicate that businesses are open for business and taking all reasonable precautions to keep visitors and staff safe.

Council is also applying for additional grant funding from the Bushfire Community Resilience and Economic Recovery Fund and Austrade Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery Program. If successful funding will be provided for local projects that support tourism and local businesses.

We will keep you informed and provide you with information on how you can take part in the $200,000+ marketing campaign. This opportunity will be at no cost to your businesses but you will need to engage with us to ensure you maximise this opportunity.

Please contact the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre on (02) 4993 6700 or vic@cessnock.nsw.gov.au if you have any questions.
We are open every day 9am-5pm, and Sundays and Public Holidays 9am-4pm.

Kind regards,
