Travel insurance is an important extra when travelling with medical conditions. We recommend All Clear who offer insurance to cover pre-existing medical conditions. COVID-19 UPDATE FROM FREEDOM

During this very difficult, unprecedented time we would like to update you on our situation and what we are doing here at Freedom to support our clients.

As the situation develops, and the government has now imposed a travel ban for the UK for all Non-Essential travel for 30 days. This means that any holiday dialysis booked in this period will be cancelled in line with the government advice. We are monitoring the advice daily, and are in constant contact with the units we work with both in the UK and Abroad to keep our clients updated, we will be in touch with any client's whose bookings are affected. We understand this can be very disappointing, but this situation is something that, unfortunately we have no control over and the safety of our clients is our priority. We are a small business and the impact is immeasurable on our business. We will do our best to provide the support and advice we can.

It is also the advice of the Renal Association UK for the safety of all UK dialysis patients and staff within units that ALL Dialysis Away from Base be suspended and UK patient stay within their home dialysis units only. https://renal.org/
