These are unprecedented times, friends. Between school closures, social distancing, office closures, and remote working arrangements, our families are stretched to their limits. This is our new normal for the time being, and we're all adjusting as best we can.

While it seems like registering for school might be the farthest thing on our families' minds right now — families do still turn to us as a reliable source of centralized, easy-to-understand information. To that end, we have created a Coronavirus COVID-19 Resource Page for Families. This resource includes links to critical resources, such as where families can access food, financial support, and childcare, as well as home learning resources and school registration updates.

We also have a list of all COVID-19 School Update pages for all schools in Boston, including BPS, charter, private, and METCO. We will be continuously updating all of our COVID-19 resources pages.

We want to amplify the resources and services your organizations are providing to families. You can let us know what updates you have via this form. We'll share these updates at our COVID-19 resource page, as well as across our social media channels.

Disruptions to School Registration & Enrollment

In addition to school closures mandated by the state, COVID-19 has also impacted school registration. Currently, all BPS Welcome Centers are closed; updates regarding Welcome Services' registration and assignment process for the next school year will be available in the coming days.

As we receive any updates about how COVID-19 is impacting ongoing school enrollment or registration processes already in progress, we'll notify families and partners via text. Text SCHOOL to 33777 to get these specific school registration alerts on your phone.

The City of Boston is also providing COVID-19 health updates via text; you can text BOSCOVID to 99411 for alerts.
