A COVID-19 Update From AKAS Tex & Wazoodle Fabrics

At AKAS Tex and Wazoodle we are following the guidance of global health experts at WHO and U.S. CDC on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Our staff is very aware and consciously following protocols for frequent hand washing, and we are performing extra cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities and equipment.

As we strive to continue fulfilling orders as fast as possible, we have put measures in place so you can be confident that the package you receive has been handled with all due precautions. Work protocols are in place for hygienic handling of goods. The following measures for good hygiene and infection control have been implemented in the workplace:

• Washing hands before starting work and frequently during the day.
• Following respiratory etiquette, such as covering coughs and sneezes.
• Keep their workplaces clean.
• Each staff member has separate workstations and they are encouraged to keep them clean.
• Alcohol and bleach based cleaning solutions are being used to clean the offices and warehouse.

We have been overwhelmed by the numbers of orders as people continue to search for safe fabrics to use. At the same time we have ramped up manufacturing operations to meet the rising demand of our fabrics. Production personnel and finishing houses are working around the clock to produce the fabrics as we try to replenish stocks to keep up with demand. We hope and pray for the good health of the staff in the knitting mills, fiber suppliers, finishing houses (based in several different states in USA) and shipping partners so that there is no break in fabric manufacturing operations. We are truly grateful for their support.

Our teams are working hard to continue to serve the fabrics needs of retail customers and businesses during this time, while keeping our employees and customers safe.
