This Week at Prince of Peace

Come… Be a Part of Peace!

Great things are happening - Come and join the excitement

“Who are You, Lord?” he said. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” He replied.
Acts 9:5-6

Paul or should I say Saul is on the road to Damascus when his journey was interrupted by being struck blind. Could it be that we too are experiencing an interruption in our journeys today? We are all listening attentively to the news broadcasts wondering what is going to happen next and what will be canceled or closed.

Churches too have been hit by this virus because we are a place where people gather. So, what can we do during a time like this when we are asked to “self-distance” ourselves from others? One thing that I will be doing during my Meditative Prayer time is to take the church directory with me and pray for each family in the congregation. What if you picked up your directory and call a member, especially someone you haven’t seen for a while and let them know that they are not forgotten? After all isn’t caring about one another what we are about?

Yes, we are taking a detour on our journey right now but by praying and talking with one another we can make that journey a little easier for one another.

As we remember that each of us is a child of God, let us reach out to one another during this difficult time and remember you are not alone.

Pastor Ida
