With any new frontier comes a sense of uncertainty. Pioneers prevail in these environments by making discoveries and sharing knowledge, and then working together
to ensure the common good.
In this time and place, though, we must work together by staying apart.
Following the rescheduling of state primary elections and the Kentucky Derby – not to mention sound advice that all community gatherings be cancelled – the 2020 Springfield Green Festival will be postponed for a yet to-be-determined date later this year.
Effectively immediately, the New Pioneers office will be closed to the public, but staff remain available via telephone and email.
As we navigate this new frontier of social distancing, serious health concerns, and a renewed importance for sustainable living practices, New Pioneers will provide updates and resources to build the mind and nourish the soul.
In the meantime, stay informed by visiting Kentucky’s official COVID-19 website, make decisions that support good health for everyone, and head outside for a dose of nature – making sure to keep at least six feet from others. Trees? Not so much. Hug away!
