Imagine Families,

Yesterday and today, our Collegiate Leaders have been planning and creating Virtual Learning experiences for your students. On Monday, March 23 IC Imagine will begin Phase 2 of our school closure plan. We will start a daily schedule of learning opportunities for students, have all of our students check in with us, and begin engaging in daily activities.

After the first week of instruction, we assume that we will have received further guidance from the state of  North Carolina regarding our ability to reopen schools as scheduled, or if an extension of the school closure will be necessary.  If an extension of the school closure is recommended, we will begin to move into Phase 3 of our virtual learning plan which will encompass more comprehensive lessons and activities for students since they will then hopefully be familiar with the virtual platform.

We know that schedules are disrupted and different during times of school closure.  Due to this, we will be providing asynchronous learning. Asynchronous learning means that everyone engages in the instruction at their own pace. Your student might be able to engage each day in the morning, the afternoon or evening-- or at a different time each day. Whatever time they are able to engage is fine!

Here is what you can expect during Virtual Learning at IC Imagine:

  • Daily Protocols (activity and assignment expectations) shared with you (K-2) or your student (3-12) by 9am daily

  • You (K-2) or your student (3-12) will complete a form confirming their attendance each day. These details will be coming as a part of your communication from your student’s principal.

  • Daily office hours where your student can check in with their Collegiate Leaders, if needed. This should be scheduled ahead of time with the teacher.

  • Consistent email communication with your student’s Collegiate Leaders

Here is a school-by-school break down of what Virtual Learning at IC Imagine will look like:
