Free Apps for Mental Health: 
  • Calm App - Calm focuses on the four key areas of meditation, breathing, sleep, and relaxation, with the aim of bringing joy, clarity, and peace to your daily life.
  • HeadSpace - Headspace uses mindfulness and meditation to help you perform at your best each day. 
  • Moodspace - Moodnotes is a thought journal and mood diary.
  • Moodpath - Moodpath is your pocket-sized mental health companion. Whether you are facing a rough patch or have concerns about your mental health, the app’s goal is to support you through the difficult times and guide you out the other side.
  • Pacificia - Pacifica is an app with anxiety and stress in mind. It provides a toolbox to deal with daily anxiety and stress, along with a highly supportive community of like-minded individuals.
  • SuperBetter - SuperBetter is a game focusing on increasing resilience and the ability to remain strong, optimistic, and motivated when presented with challenging obstacles in life.
  • Happify - A space to overcome negative thoughts and stress and build resilience. Whether you are feeling stressed, anxious, or sad, Happify helps you to regain control of your thoughts and feelings.

We understand that not everyone has internet or computers at home so here are some alternative activities for students to do at home… 
  • Take a walk with an adult 
  • Read a good Book
  • Organize your Room 
  • Learn how to do your own laundry 
  • Help clean the house
  • Play a board game
  • Take a relaxing bath
  • Try to meditate 
  • Exercise 
  • Write a story 
  • Paint or draw something
  • Built a fort in your room (and clean it up when you’re done) 
  • Go with an adult to a local park 
  • Ride your bike 
  • Do a puzzle 
  • Learn how to play card games
  • Dance to your favorite music
  • Write letters to family members
  • Take pictures of nature 
  • Make a comic book 
  • Learn to juggle 
  • Take naps 
  • Watch your favorite show

If you’re home with your children of any age and are looking for ways to keep them occupied, try checking out (just Google them!) some of these free educational websites and resources… 
  • Funbrain - Offers worksheets, games, etc. to keep kids busy while at home. 
  • Prodigy- This website helps kids with their math skills.
  • Math Playground - Has many math related games to keep kids busy for hours. 
  • Splash Learn - Available for the younger kiddos who may be at home. Offers help with K-5th grade learning. 
  • Math GameTime - Has many math related games to keep kids busy for hours. 
  • Khan Academy - A great website for kids of all ages. Offers help with specific subjects such as history, and science. 
  • Crash Course - Youtube account geared to help kids with different subjects. Very interactive and interesting for students. 
  • The Who Was Show - This is a Netflix series geared towards kids, it’s a comedy teaching kids about different famous people throughout history. They won’t even realize they’re learning! 
  • National Geographic Kids - Offers videos, games, information about different animals, etc. 
  • Google Earth Education - Videos and Education about Earth 
  • Smithsonian for Kids - Offers lots of educational information, and games. 
  • Discovery Mind Blown - This is an app for phones that allows students to pick topics they’re interested in and learn more about them. 
  • NASA Kids Club - Teaches kids of outer space, and has fun missions for them to complete. 
  • Amazing Space - Offers students fun information, and articles about planets/space. 
  • How Stuff Works - For the kid who wants to know how everything works
  • TED Talks - Very educational speaking videos about a range of topics 
  • Brain Pop- A great website for students to get help or learn more about every subject. 
  • PBS Kids- Lot of games, and information to keep kids busy
  • Duolingo - Available for kids to start learning a different language 
  • Hello Kids - Free online coloring pages
  • Go Noodle - Movement and Mindfulness Videos for Kids!
