Online: Course supporting people to stay infection free

With the increased transmission of COVID-19, it's vital to understand how to keep yourself and the people you support healthy.

Disability Services Consulting (DSC) has released a free online learning module to assist the sector to respond.

This 30-minute online learning module is specifically designed for the Australian disability workforce and is aligned with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

Free: Business support with a 12-month CCIQ membership

The Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland (CCIQ) is the voice of Queensland business and it recognises many employers are facing complex HR situations at the moment.

It is offering a complimentary 12-month subscription to its Business Essentials membership for anyone signing up before 31 March 2020 (new members only).

You’ll get Fair Work help when you need it, plus marketing insights and cost-saving tips to help you get through the worst trading conditions since the Global Financial Crisis.

HSQF: Support for women's shelters

Women's shelters that need to complete Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) activities such as self-assessment, audit preparation or post-audit continuous improvement are encouraged to contact QCOSS for free HSQF support.

One-on-one support, online learning, templates and supporting documents, as well as access to a collaborative group, are available.

QCOSS has shared its pandemic emergency management plan. This plan forms part of the QCOSS business continuity plan and is being constantly reviewed in line with current developments around the COVID-19 pandemic.

Grant: Ergon-Energex Community Fund open for applications

Do you have an idea for your community and need help with funding?

The Ergon-Energex grants program is providing a helping hand to get a great community project or initiative over the line.

Eligible applications will be considered for up to $5,000 in funding.

All successful applicants will have their project profiled online so the whole community can view and vote for their favourite.

NDIS: National NDIS Workforce Plan survey

The Department of Social Services, in partnership with the Commonwealth, states and territories, is developing a National NDIS Workforce Plan to meet future labour demands in the sector.

This action-oriented plan will assist governments to maximise effort and guide investment to support the NDIS workforce, which includes support workers, allied health professionals and others.
