SCAD Research, Inc is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support the most promising research on spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). We have raised and donated a total of $965,000 to research since 2011. We have awarded the vast majority of funds raised to Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program.

Upcoming 5K SCADaddles

There are a number of SCADaddles planned this year. SCADaddles are our main fundraisers. With the ongoing concern about the coronavirus, we are keeping an eye on developments and will post any updates about upcoming 5Ks as decisions are made.

In addition to the 5K, special events are planned for SCAD survivors, their supporters and families who lost someone to SCAD. Can't attend in person? Become a virtual participant and receive a SCADaddle t-shirt.

Note: The North Carolina 5K SCADaddle at Patterson Farm Market & Tours, Mt. Ulla, NC originally planned on April 25 has been rescheduled to Sept. 26.
