Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves, the safety and health of our seniors, community, volunteers and staff remains the City’s top priority and a decision has been made to suspend all programs and events for seniors from Monday 23 March.

Because of the increased risk to older community members, the City has also decided to close the Addie Mills Centre from Monday 23 March and won’t be running a bus service, programs or events.

We're pleased to let you know that the Meals on Wheels service will continue and, for the moment, the hairdressing service will also continue.

The City understands how much this decision impacts our community, which is why our staff will be available at the Centre to answer any queries or concerns you may have.

We encourage members of our community to continue to stay informed about COVID-19 by reliable sources, practice good hygiene, be aware and be prepared. To avoid misinformation about COVID-19, please refer to the WA Department of Health website, which is updated daily, or call the Coronvirus health information line on 1800 020 080.

For updates on the City's ongoing response to COVID-19, please check our website regularly, follow our corporate Facebook page and subscribe to the City Update eNewsletter via our website.

In the meantime, we hope you will continue to do as many activities as possible, within the government’s health guidelines, to stay physically and mentally active and in good health.

Thank you for your understanding.
