Updates in our Community:
- City Hall + Recreation Complex Updates
- Effective today, City Hall services will be available online and via phone. City Hall and the Nancy Hanson Recreation Complex buildings will be closed to the public. Tennis, racquetball and shuffleboard courts will remain open. All facility rentals have been cancelled and no new reservations are being taken. For assistance with City Hall matters, please call (321) 868-1220. For assistance with Leisure Services matters, please call (321) 863-9022.
- Beachside Public Parking Closures
- All public vehicular parking at beach ends (and Cherie Down Park) are closed.
- Beaches are open to pedestrians.
- Beach gatherings are still limited to less than 10 people.
- Must maintain distance from other parties by 6 feet.
- Remote Learning for Brevard Schools to Start 3/30/20
- Federal Tax Payment Deadline Delayed for 90 Days
- Canaveral Fire & Rescue
- Beach Wheelchair Delivery + Pickup has been suspended
- No longer taking blood pressure at Fire Stations
- Sharps can still be dropped off; ensure the boxes are taped and ring the doorbell. Crews will retrieve it from outside and give a new one outside.
- Just added: Cape View Elementary Will Open as Food Distribution Center on 3/23
- 💩Only toilet paper should go down the drain!💩
- Residents are advised to NOT flush disinfecting wipes, paper towels or face masks down the toilet – throw them away in a proper trash receptacle!
- Such items will clog up the City’s Water Reclamation Facility.
- Residents may face in-home plumbing backups and blockages as well.
This situation continues to rapidly evolve on a daily basis and we will continue to update citizens as we gather more information. We are encouraging our citizens to remain calm and practice social distancing (watch this video to learn more).

As news stories about COVID-19 begin to proliferate through our phones, news feeds and screens - please ensure you rely on dependable, official sources such as Department of Health (FDOH), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Brevard Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for factual information regarding this situation.
Beware of potential scams involving online or email donation solicitation, phone calls asking for donations for research, or any other scam relating to this crisis.

The message will be automatically routed to the appropriate department. We need as much information as possible to address your concern quickly and efficiently.
