STATUS UPDATE: HOW ISTABA IS RESPONDING TO THE CORONA VIRUS
Dear Community Members,
As information on the coronavirus is updated, we will notify the Community with immediate updates. As of today, it is imperative to continue steps to keep all our members safe.
1. All on-site classes, activities and schools are cancelled until further notice.
2. All five prayers, Janazas and Juma (Friday prayer) will be conducted with the following restrictions:
a. For the safety of our vulnerable community members and for the safety of our general public, we strongly request that the following population groups self quarantine:
- Members 65 or older.
- Children under the age of 17 years old.
- Members who are sick, especially with flu like symptoms.
- Members experiencing heart disorders, lung disorder or diabetes.
b. We have a limited number of disposable masks at the entrance of the Masjid for members who are praying.
c. Even if you have made wudu before coming to pray, wash your hands with soap at our facility before entering the Masjid. Bring your personal prayer rug.
THE GENERAL BODY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 21, 2020 HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
THE PRE-EID BAZAAR SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 5, 2020 HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
THE QURAN COMPETITION HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
ISTABA, in partnership with ICNA Relief, is on standby to feed eligible applicants. You can call 954-260-2137 to check your status. Financial and Food Donations are still accepted, especially considering many who are in need.
We encourage Believers to do their part in taking precautions and put your trust in Allah (SWT). Continue to make duas and prayers seeking forgiveness and repenting from sins.

'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who recites three times every morning and evening: 'Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'as-mihi shai'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim (In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and He is the All-Hearing and All- Knowing),' nothing will harm him."
[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].
وعن عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "ما من عبد يقول في صباح كل يوم ومساء كل ليلة: بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء وهو السميع العليم، ثلاث مرات، إلا لم يضره شيء". رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال حديث حسن صحيح
