Hello from St Michael's, Croydon

Welcome to our new e-Bulletin. We aim to circulate some news at least once (if necessary twice) per week. If you have any ideas or requests for things to be included that you think might be helpful please contact Fr Philip (details at the very bottom of this page).

Please keep in touch with the clergy: we will be glad to hear from you, and assure you of our prayers.

Regarding the present Covid-19 pandemic, please keep an eye on the dedicated page on the Parish Website for further updates.

Broadcasting our Worship online

We have been working hard to investigate ways of streaming our worship online. We have found a solution and I hope very much that we will be able to broadcast our services from tomorrow (Friday).

We will do so via our parish Facebook page. You do not need to be a subscriber to Facebook to view our page or to view the broadcast.

We will broadcast the Mass for the next three days at 9.30am. You will be able to watch live but will also be able to watch completed broadcasts at any time afterwards.

Please bear with us as this is a new venture, and any comments or helpful suggestions will be gratefully received.

Other ways to pray

Public worship might be suspended but the prayer of the church definitely is not. The clergy will be offering the usual daily round of worship (Morning and Evening Prayer and Mass each day), praying for all our parishioners and for all affected by this pandemic.

If you would like to join us in the recitation of the Office at home or to follow the Mass readings, this website is a very useful resource, and the same version as we use in Church each day.

Church Open Each Day

There will be an opportunity each day for people to come to Church to pray privately. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration and silent prayer, and a Priest will be available to hear confessions.

Resources for prayer will be available for use in church and for you to take home or to distribute to those you know cannot get to church.

This week, the opening times are:

Friday 20 March: 10.00am - 1.30pm
Sat 21 March: 10.00am - 1pm
Sunday 22 March: 10.00am - 1.30pm

Stay in touch!

It is vital that we stay in touch as much as possible.

Please be in touch with Fr Tim or Fr Philip at any time (details at the very bottom of this page). We will always be
glad to hear from you with any requests for prayer, updates on parishioners and their loved ones, and if we can assist in any practical way.

If you know that someone is alone or vulnerable at the moment, please try (as far as is possible and appropriate) to check regularly how they are and if they need any assistance.

Please, if possible, share the contents of this message with those who do not have regular access to internet or email.
