Dear Valued Patients, Friends, Family and Colleagues:

As we continue to keep a close eye on developments related to COVID-19, I would like to give you an update regarding our practice policies and what we are doing to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

First and foremost, we will continue to maintain regular business hours. Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We will continue to set appointments for patients and instruct anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to be seen at their local emergency room or urgent care.

I have always held Mariposa to the highest standard in regards to cleanliness. In addition to our standard protocols, the practice is being cleaned and sanitized on a more frequent basis. Also staff is periodically sanitizing every surface, chair, computer, door handle, and pen at various intervals throughout the day.

In order to maintain wellness among our staff and patients, we require that any staff member or patient who is not feeling well, experiencing symptoms of any kind or a recent fever, please remain home. It has been recommended by the CDC that anyone over the age of 65 socially distance themselves. We will continue to adhere to the recommendations of the CDC.

If you feel under the weather, are experiencing symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms, please contact our office at 405-759-7546 for assistance rescheduling your appointment.

We will screen and not see patients who are high risk for COVID-19 infection.

This includes:
• Patients who have travelled to a Level 3 COVID-19 country in the 14 days prior to their visit

• Those who have been in direct contact with a sick individual, a person known or suspected to have COVID-19, or someone who has recently travelled to a Level 3 country.

• Those who have had a fever of 100.4 or greater in the past 48 hours.

• Those who have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, runny nose, or other flu-like symptoms.

• We will screen patients in vulnerable or higher risk groups to defer their appointments.

• This includes those with medical comorbid conditions, fragility, advanced age, or extenuating circumstances.

• Patients will be immediately ushered into exam rooms upon arrival to reduce or eliminate time in the waiting room.

• We will be scheduling fewer patients per hour. There will be minimum waiting.

The health and safety of patients and staff is of the utmost importance during this time. I encourage everyone to remain calm, wash their hands frequently, and stay updated by visiting trusted websites such as the CDC.

With love,

Kristy Murrow, PA-C & your Mariposa Family
