Plain Language for Health (PL4H) Online

Writing and Design Workshop for Research and Practice

April 16 - 17, 2020

This online workshop is for motivated individuals and teams working to communicate health information in ways people can understand. Health literacy and plain language experts from Tufts University School of Medicine and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will engage participants in interactive practice activities and discussions on how to apply principles of health literacy and plain language to health communication in research and practice. PL4H Online is NOT a webinar! Our online instructional design will provide participants with an opportunity to work with health literacy and plain language experts, meet and learn from each other, engage in paired and large group discussion, work on individual activities off line and in breakout rooms, and more. As an online program, space is limited. Please register as soon as possible to reserve you place.

The workshop will teach actionable skills and techniques to improve community engagement, build transparency and trust, and connect with patients, research participants, and the community. If you are involved in communicating health information to patients, research participants, and the public – this workshop is for you!
