Ignite Indiana Prayer
A Call for a Day of Prayer and Fasting

Dear Indiana Conference Church Members:

I would like to extend an invitation for all of us to join together for a Day of Prayer and Fasting this coming Sabbath, March 21. As a nation we are facing unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow each day, affecting all of us in dramatic ways. At this point, it appears that there is not a clear solution to what we are facing. Health and government officials are telling us that this pandemic could last well into the fall of this year. Similar to what happened after 9/11, our country will never be the same from this point forward.

If there was ever a time to unite as a remnant people to seek God and His help, it is now. Pray alone, pray with your family, pray with your church. Our Heavenly Father is appealing to each of us to press together in prayer.

Here are three prayer points that we all can specifically focus on this Sabbath:
  • Please pray for all those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic - specifically for individuals and families who are being physically and financially impacted by this disease, healthcare providers who are on the front-line of this battle, and church/community leaders as they respond to the crisis.
  • Please pray that God will impress our hearts about how we can minister to those in need.

  • Please pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our own lives, our families, our churches, and the Indiana Conference - that God will unite us in unity and purpose to reach our communities for Christ.
Ellen White writes: “Let the believers heed the voice of the angel who has said to the church, “Press together.”  In unity is your strength. Love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.  God hath a church, and Christ hath declared, “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). The messengers the Lord sends bear the divine credentials. I have tender feelings toward you, but come to the light, I beseech of you.—Letter 16, 1893.  (Selected Messages Book 2 p. 69)

In His Service,

Pastor Vic

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
