Dear <<First Name>>,

I’m writing to check in and see how you’re doing in these uncertain times? Clinic is still OPEN and I’m here to provide you with any support you may need.

As you know, the COVID-19 situation is changing quickly. I’m keeping up to date with the latest advice from the Federal and State Governments and my professional association (Australian Traditional Medicine Society). I’d like to reassure you of the measures that are in place in clinic to reduce the spread.

Clinic measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19

  • Surfaces are wiped with disinfectant regularly throughout the day (doorknobs, light switches, eftpos machine)
  • Hand sanitiser and tissues are in clinic for your use.
  • A paper towel dispenser has been installed in the toilet and a foot pedal bin
  • I wash my hands after each client (I always do but this is a good time to reassure you of this fact!)
  • I’ve removed the blankets from the treatment table and wipe the table with disinfectant after each client.
  • Water glasses are of course thoroughly washed but you’re welcome to bring your own water if you feel more comfortable.
  • Not seeing any clients with any flu-like symptoms or who are required to self-isolate (if this is you and you have an appointment booked, please let me know).

If you’re feeling unwell/have flu-like symptoms and aren’t sure what to do, visit the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) or call the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline (open 24/7) on 1800 020 080.

I acknowledge this is a difficult time for many and there are legitimate concerns around physical safety, financial security and planning for the future. The unknown can be scary and this has fuelled a tonne of panic in the community.

In addition to following expert advice (hand hygiene, social distancing, self-isolating), here I share my top tips for navigating this uncertain time as well as how myself and my colleagues at Thornbury Acupuncture Studio can support you.

Navigating the COVID-19 season – a holistic approach

  • Do your best to stay grounded, calm and reduce stress levels. This supports your immune system and helps those around you to be calm. Spread the good vibes!
  • Eat loads of fresh food
  • Keep stretching and moving
  • Avoid 'hooking in' to the panic of the collective consciousness. Energetically cleanse/smudge to stay clear and protected (I’m sourcing white sage for you!)
  • If you’re feeling worried, overwhelmed, angry … that’s totally ok! These are unprecedented times. Acknowledge and release your feelings.
  • Unplug from relentless coronavirus stuff on social media and the news for a bit.
  • Take a ‘we’ not ‘me’ attitude. If you’ve got the means, share excess goods with your community.
  • Get some sunshine. Vitamin D has a role in regulating immune function … and sunshine makes you feel good too!
  • Herbs can support for immune function and overall wellbeing (see below).

How can kinesiology, sound healing and flower essences help?

  • If you’re feeling heightened emotions, unsettled or need some extra support.
  • My sessions support you to feel calm, grounded and present.
  • If you’re managing this period well, awesome! We can continue working with your regular self-growth and healing goals.
Kinesiology – healing tools include discussion, flower essences, sound healing, crystals, acupressure, symbols, affirmations.

Sound healing – these super relaxing sessions are no contact with limited discussion. Tuning forks are used off the body through the energetic systems.

Flower essence consults – Australian Bush Flower Essences are excellent for emotional wellbeing. We’ll select your unique remedy (up to 7 essences!) using kinesiology and discussion.
  • If you know your essences, flower essence remedies are also available for sale (pick up or postage). Contact me for more info.
  •  If you’re self-isolating either as a requirement or by choice, I haven’t forgotten about you! I’m looking to offer Skype/distance sessions for kinesiology and flower essence consults very soon.

Herbal and acupuncture support is available!

  • My colleagues at Thornbury Acupuncture Studio are highly skilled and experienced Chinese Medicine Doctors and are available to support you with herbs and/or acupuncture. Chinese Medicine can help boost your ‘Wei Qi’ (protective/defensive energy) and has a long history of supporting immune function.

I’ll be in touch with any clinic changes as they come to hand. I’ll also be posting updates on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

Bookings can be made online or by getting in touch with me directly.

Be well, be calm, be kind.
