MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

What a week! We are living in an extraordinary and ever-changing time of challenge and opportunity. This week has been taken up with preparations for our first on-line services and making a list of things to figure out. Next week is looking like another full one.

As we face the disruption of COVID-19, remember that God is still at work. He has not needed to quarantine himself nor will he ever face lockdown. It is the ever-present, ever-active God that we serve that fills this challenging time with so much opportunity.
Please continue to pray for us as a leadership as we seek to navigate this strange period of time and chart a course to care for our community of faith. And continue to pray for leadership everywhere as they deal with all the information and make key decisions. Pray for those working on a vaccine and for all health professionals who are serving us. And pray that peace would settle on our communities as we face this challenge.

We’ll be in touch with developments as they become clear.

God bless.

Marc Rader

Announcements and Upcoming Events

GBC Online
Last Wednesday's announcement by the Federal Government to ban inside gatherings of over 100 people (in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19) has meant we are moving our services online. The email response from Marc Rader to the GBC community, sent later that day (18 March), can be read here.

To find out how you can be prepared and ready to participate in GBC Online this Sunday please take a few minutes now to watch this video from Marc Rader (click the image below).

Then log on to gbconline.org.au, and as shown in the video, sign up by clicking on the three horizontal lines at the top left hand corner (don't forget to add your photo) so you're ready to join us at GBC Online this Sunday at any of our regular service times of 8:30am,10:30am, and 6:00pm
Non-Perishable Food Donations GBC Drive-Thru: This Sunday 2pm-4pm

Hopefield's Manna Pantry urgently needs restocking.

GBC Staff will be collecting your donations of non-perishable food items and other essentials at the GBC Drive-Thru this Sunday 22 March 2020 from 2pm to 4pm:

1) Drive in to the church driveway;
2) Remain in your car with the engine running;
3) Pass the donations through your open car window to a smiling GBC staff member wearing gloves;
4) Wave, smile and drive away.

This is an opportunity to be Big-Hearted as a community of faith. If everyone were able to donate even one or two items we would be able to serve so many people who are in need in our community.
