Here is the RockChurch Preparedness Plan for the Coronavirus Epidemic. We will continue to monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local officials, and medical professionals. Our response will change and adjust based on the guidance we receive, but as of today, here are the precautions we are taking to increase health measures and mitigate the spread of germs.

Social distancing (no handshakes and hugs)

  • Our greeters will hand you a bulletin without shaking your hands.
  • We will eliminate 1 minute 'meet n greet/band jam’.
  • We will transition from worship straight to the sermon.

Cleaning all touch-points in church building and children's classes

  • This includes sanitizing all toys and touch-points in classrooms.
  • We are removing all small toys that could be easily contaminated.

We will not pass offering buckets or call ushers forward

  • Ushers stationed at each exit point in sanctuary with buckets for end of service.
  • We will encourage digital giving.

We will have all doors already opened if possible (eliminating the touching door handles)

Communion in pre-packaged cups (indefinitely until further notice)

In a hyper-critical, cynical world often known more for what it’s against, we are called to be a group of people known for what we’re FOR. Over the next four weeks (pun unintended) we will answer two critical questions: What do we want to be known for? What are we known for? #ForThe309 [SAT 5p // SUN 9&11a]
