COVID 19

It is impossible to ignore the ongoing concern in the world about COVID 19. If you have listened to any radio or television in the past few days you know of the many cancellations taking place, especially where large crowds would gather. If you have any apprehensions about attending worship this weekend, please stay home and pray for those of us who will gather. We will have Sunday Services, but will take all the precautions possible to protect any who are present. There will be no shaking of hands during the Passing of the Peace or holding hands as we sing The Lord’s Prayer together. We will have a collection plate at the entrance of the church that you can place your offering in, so we have no need to pass the plate in the pews. Communion will either be in one kind (wafer only) or common cup with wine that is over 19 proof. There will be no water in the baptismal font, but do remember your baptism as you make the sign of the cross that was placed on you at your baptism.

If you have any health concerns at all it is much better for you to stay home and stay safe. We will evaluate in the days ahead and make determinations as to if we will cancel services in the coming weeks. Please continue to check your emails, the Facebook page (if you have one), our web page: poplcweb.com, call the church office at 261-6301 during normal office hours, or Pastor’s cell phone at 904-210-9071.
