Dear MESA Parent/Guardians 

Following the recent school closure announcement from Milwaukee Public Schools, Milwaukee Environmental Sciences Academy, a MTEC Charter school, will also be closing effective Monday, March 16, 2020.

This decision has been made in the best interest of our students and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all in our school communities. The MTEC administration and MPS district leaders will continue working closely with health officials and one another to make informed decisions and update our communities as expeditiously as possible.

Milwaukee Environmental Sciences Academy, a MTEC Charter School, will reopen on Monday, April 20, 2020, (which includes the predetermined spring break) unless notified otherwise by the governor’s office and/or city/county health officials or our chartering authorizer Milwaukee Public Schools.

Work materials and packets were sent home with children on Friday, March 13th. In addition, online learning options are extended for our middle school scholars in 6-8th grade via Google Classroom. Regarding lunch programs, meals will be provided at Marshall High School at 4141 N 64th Street, Milwaukee, WI, between the hours of 11am-1pm.
