That's right - we're still paddling this weekend!

Good Morning Floatfest Friends! 


We're excited to let you know that we will still be going ahead with our activities at the Purnong water Regatta tomorrow! 

Make sure you register now and get yourself ready for some fun on the water! Once you've registered you can participate in our fun canoeing activities including our Dash for cash, Obstacle course and of course our record attempt. Better still we have a few small cash prizes up for grabs for you to win! 

We just have a few housekeeping things that will make tomorrow flow smoother so please read on 
 

Register Now

Signing In

As a registered participant you are required to sign in at the Registration desk (located at the right next to the Caurnamont Boat Ramp) before 1pm.
Requirements/process for signing in (allow 5-10 minutes):

  1. Completed and signed registration form 
    1. check details are correct if you registered online via Eventbrite
  2. Sign Assumption of Risk form
    1. Please Note:  the Floatfest team must meet strict insurance requirements which state we must ensure this is signed by all participants.
  3. Allow Floatfest team to confirm you are wearing an Australian Standard Life Jacket and appropriate clothing to avoid sunburn, wind chill and hypothermia.
  4. Collect your numbered wristband (to be worn on left wrist)
    1. This is so we can accurately count as the call goes out “Paddles to the Ready” during the World Record Count on Sunday.
  5. Collect your numbered sticker (to be placed on your craft – preferably on the bow)
    1. This is so we can identify passengers of craft in the unlikely case of emergency retrieval.

Be advised where you will be entering the water (Subject to weather conditions)

Otherwise if searching in Google Maps search for Thompson Road, Caurnamont SA 5238 and you should be on your way

Canoe Drop

Car parking will be on the corner of Thompson road and Purnong road for this event. You should be able to quickly drop your canoe off at the information tent where the road is closed into the boat ramp (on Thompson road) the Purnong Water Regatta team will help direct you on where’s best to go.

The Purnong Water Regatta are asking for a gold coin donation for Entry to the Water Regatta which will go towards their next project – a walking trail
 
Floatfest for this event is free but we would appreciate your support of a gold coin donation to go towards our Charity Partner CanDo 4Kids
Coronavirus
Addressing the Coronavirus (CCOVID-19) Pandemic, if you have registered and you decide to stay home to protect yourself against the virus we completely understand but would appreciate it if you could let us know you won’t be coming.

Otherwise we will be conducting business as usual but for your safety and ours during the Purnong Water Regatta the Floatfest team will be sanitizing our area regularly as well as having sunscreen, hand sanitiser and tissues available should you need them.
