Water is a precious commodity around the world. Growing up in the US we never worried about our water use or consumption, as the faucets always flowed. That is not the case in PNG. Rain is where our precious water comes as, and if it doesn’t rain… then the faucets don’t flow.  We have two sources of water available to us, one is collected rainwater from our roof, and the other is gravity fed water from the river next to our center.  We are grateful for the abundance of rain we receive in PNG, and have more of an appreciation for the purity of the water from the tap in the US.
