Fellow SGS Members,
Because the March 14th membership meeting has been cancelled, it is necessary to provide via email, for your review, a slate of nominees presented by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Board on March 9, 2020. Following is the slate of nominees for the election of officers to serve for the upcoming membership year June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021:

Director of Education, Heidi Mair
Director of Library, Sue Jensen (incumbent)
Director of Membership, Christine Schomaker (incumbent)
Director of Operations, Rob Sexton (incumbent)
Director of Publications, - none -
Director of Social Media (aka Director of Technology), David Rimmer (incumbent)
Director of Volunteers, - none -
Nominating Committee (five positions plus one alternate), - none -
*(interim) - Nominee is incumbent who has served the term limit of three years in the position and has agreed to serve provisionally until another SGS member comes forward to fill the position.
Nominations remain open for any position, especially the positions for which there are as yet no nominees.
To nominate yourself for a position, fill out the Nomination Acceptance Form and return it no later than March 21st by email to nominations@seagensoc.org or by postal mail to SGS, PO Box 15329, Seattle WA 98115.
If you would like to nominate another SGS member, please send an email stating their name and the position to nominations@seagensoc.org as soon as possible. Rest assured that we will follow up with each suggested nominee to see if that person is interested in the position before placing their name on the ballot.
Note that this is not a ballot! For the 2020 SGS Election, ballots will be emailed to all current SGS members on March 31st. Voting will be conducted electronically or by printed ballot, all ballots to be received by April 30th, and results to be announced by the Election Committee shortly thereafter.
