Dear Calvary Family,
I'm writing with a couple updates for us about our livestream tomorrow and a way we can serve our community this week.
Facebook Livestream
The Facebook Live video will begin tomorrow morning at 10:45 AM, and our worship time will begin at 11:00 AM. Even if you don't use Facebook, you should still be able to access the livestream here. Feel free to join us anytime between 10:45 and 11:00 and share a message (using the "comment" feature) updating us on how you're doing. This will be a great way for us to check in with each other in lieu of seeing each other face to face. (Something tells me that Chad Eggleston and Josh Borderud could keep this check-in time very entertaining, so you won't want to miss it!)
Tomorrow, I will be live streaming the video and homily from my laptop at home, but if we need to meet virtually in future weeks, we will look at options to include more elements of worship and livestream from Calvary. Feel free to stay in your pajamas, make a cup of coffee, and join us!
Meals for Waco ISD
Several of you are asking how you can help in the coming days. Waco ISD will be using Calvary’s parking lot as one of several locations where people can drive by to pick up free breakfast and lunch for students over the next few weeks while school is out of session. Breakfast pick-up will be from 8:00-9:30 AM and lunch will be from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Food will be prepared and delivered to each location, but we are looking for 1-2 volunteers to help with each time slot.
If you’d be willing to help, please sign up here. As you can imagine, there is a tremendous amount of work being done at the last minute to make this happen, but someone will be in touch with more information ASAP.
Thank you for the many ways you are checking on folks in the Calvary family and beyond during this time. Our staff will be meeting early this week to consider other creative ways that we can continue to live out our pledge to be the family of God in this place...even when we can't be in the same space. In the meantime, I hope to see many of you online tomorrow morning!
