WHAT'S NEW?
Dear Members,

I am sure that you have been inundated by now with news articles and emails about the Caronavirus, what has been canceled, and what businesses and workplaces are doing differently to cope. I figured it was time to send one out to you about the Chorus.

We don't plan on canceling rehearsals until and unless forced to. If you prefer not to attend, that is fine as long as you continue to practice at home. If you have a weakened immune system, or you are feeling sick, please stay home. (Allergies don't count. 😉)

MCA has canceled their rehearsal on the 17th. But they have been working on this music since January and are leagues ahead of us. As of now, our concert is still scheduled for May 9th. Hopefully, things are settled down by then. If our concert does go as scheduled, we will need to be prepared for it. (And our fingers are crossed that it does, as we would hate to lose the concert revenue.)

We are still planning on the Jason's Deli fundraiser on the 24th. I had been informed that carry-out and delivery orders would not be included in the fundraiser. I am waiting on clarification on if that is only for online orders or if it also goes for to-go orders placed in person at the restaurant. I have a fundraiser event email ready to go out as soon as I get word. In the meantime, here is the link to RSVP. We need at least 20 people signed up (even if you're just interested) by the 21st for the fundraiser event to be a go. You can sign up 4 people at once, if I recall correctly.

Other notes:
  • This coming Monday will be sectionals. It will be easier to spread out a little more from each other if you wish to.
  • Use hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol. There will be some at rehearsal.
  • If you must cough or sneeze, do so into your sleeve or a tissue.
  • Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. (The melody from the round in Into The Light is about 25 seconds long.)
  • Get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water, keep your immune system strong.
  • Don't touch your face if you haven't just washed or sanitized your hands.
  • Here is a flier from Baptist Hospital on the Caronavirus if you are interested.

Stay healthy.
