Today's event at South Street Diner has been canceled, but you can still celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a good old fashioned burger at Pauli's North End. The special burger is all-beef with cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado, tomato, green leaf lettuce and chipotle mayonnaise on top. It’s all between two freshly made “green” buns made of ham, mozzarella cheese and jalapeno peppers. If you'd rather stay home, you can order pickup online and have it delivered right to you.

Maybe switch things up a bit this year on St. Patrick's Day. You could go to The Harp and enjoy a Guinness of course, or something that has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day like the Rum Punch with Bacardi and Red Bull Orange Edition, or the Absolut Savage on tap with strawberry vodka and Casoni aperitivo. #keeplocalbusinesshealthy

Everyone knows that food and wine are good together but a fine whiskey with a meal can be great too. On March 30, The Wellington executive chef Dante deMagistris and chef de cuisine Rob Neely create a 4-course menu featuring dishes inspired by, made and paired with whiskeys from three local distillers, Cabin Fever, Boston Harbor and Walrus Blood. This limited ticketed event will take place in the restaurant’s beautiful Well Room, the glass-enclosed private dining room with high ceilings and big windows. Tickets are available for $100 which includes tax and gratuity. 75 Leonard St., Belmont
