From Principal Franks:

“Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed.” – Bob Riley

We are in unprecedented times. Over the past five days, all of our lives have changed in some form. Closed schools, businesses, restaurants, fitness centers, nursing homes, places of worship etc… are now dark with the doors locked for an indefinite amount of time. It would be easy to become distraught and feel hopeless, but the past two days have proven there is nothing that cannot happen when we work together.

The Fundraising for Foster Online Auction is still open!  New items were added over the weekend including signed books by a local author and Armatage parent, College Nannies & Tutors Gift Certificate Basket, MOA coupon book + passes, and gift cards to Tinto Kitchen (who has been so generous and understanding about our event cancellation).  The Classroom Rewards now have the amount needed to reach their goal in the listing title. The amount will be updated each day so you can see how close they are to reaching their goal!  Way to go Pre-K on reaching your goal!

The auction will remain open until Friday, March 20th at 8:00pm.  We thank you so much for your generous support of Armatage especially during this very difficult time.  We wish the whole Armatage community all the best!

Social-Emotional-Learning Newsletter: March

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Happy almost spring!  Our SEL focus for March is bravery and using innovation and problem solving.  Students at Armatage are wonderful at being problem solvers and showing bravery in big and small ways.  We see students helping one another and being brave in standing up for their beliefs. Thank you for being our partners in encouraging your children to show bravery and use their innovation and problem solving skills at home, in their community and at Armatage.  I’m including some articles and books to support your own family practice of inspiring these skills.  (READ MORE)
