Spain imposes national lockdown
- The entirety of the Spanish population has been ordered to stay home in quarantine for at least two weeks, following Italy’s steps in attempting to slow the spread of COVID-19
- Following 1,500 new cases in the past twenty-four hours, the number of coronavirus cases spiraled to more than 6,000 and the death toll reached 190
- The emergency order requires Spaniards to remain indoors, only being allowed to leave their homes to buy food, get medicines, see a doctor, leave the house for an emergency or go to work
- Spain’s government said Saturday that the wife of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has tested positive for the new coronavirus

Florida governor seeks ban on domestic travel
- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the White House needs to consider restricting domestic travel from states that are seeing a rapid increase in coronavirus infections, saying the flow of people has made containment difficult
- DeSantis claims that coronavirus cases in Florida are a direct consequence of travelers from infected states like New York and California
- Just last week, A passenger on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Palm Beach, Florida, has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus
- The state of Florida has experienced upwards of 100 cases statewide, with the number expected to continue to rise

American Airlines cuts international flights by 75%
- The announcement from the U.S. airline comes hours after the White House said the United States would widen new travel restrictions on Europeans to include travelers in the United Kingdom and Ireland, starting Monday night
- American Airlines joins United, Southwest, and Delta Airlines in cutting flights across the board due to fear of spreading COVID-19
- American Airlines still plans to operate two flights a day to London, and three per week to Tokyo

- Thump was tested on Friday after coming into contact with two individuals who have tested positive for the virus
- The press secretary for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and Brazil's chargé d'affaires in Washington both tested positive for coronavirus this week, days after they met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida
- On Saturday The White House said it would begin conducting temperature checks on any individuals who come in close contact with President Trump and Vice President Pence

SpaceX Starlink mission fails to launch
- A problem with getting power to the rocket forced a last-minute abort of SpaceX's planned launch of 60 Starlink communications satellites Sunday morning from Kennedy Space Center in Florida
- Computers stopped the countdown with just seconds before the scheduled launch, ending the attempt for the day. SpaceX has not set a new launch date
- The launch attempted to boost the number of Starlink satellites in orbit to 362 -- the largest known satellite constellation by far

NFL players agree to new CBA
- NFL players voted to approve a new collective bargaining agreement that will run through 2030, preventing a looming player lockout
- The new CBA sets the standard for the NFL to expand its regular season to 17 games and expand the playoff field from 12 teams to 14 as soon as the 2020 season
- Player benefits include higher minimum salaries, improvements to benefits for current and former players, expanded rosters and practice squads, and changes to the league's drug and discipline policies
