THIS WEEKS UPDATE - 16th March 2020
Vegetables:
This week Beetroot, Broccolini, Celery, Green Cabbage, Cauliflower, Yellow Capsicum and Paw Paw have landed themselves at a high price. Capsicum Red is shockingly high in price and we advise our customers to refrain from ordering or order the substitute where possible. Sugar snap Peas have also increased in price and are scarce at the moment. There has been a significant price rise in Whole Garlic and Peeled garlic, please be mindful while ordering. Also the price for Young Ginger has increased this week. Once again Iceberg Lettuce has gone up in price, while Cos and Radicchio Lettuce have come down slightly. Tomatoes Large have increased in price, however the Medium gourmet Tomatoes and Roma Tomatoes have dropped down in price. Other good priced items this weeks are Green beans, Capsicum Green, Aussie Cucumbers at a low price. Chicory, Endive and Eschallots have also come down in price. We have also seen a price decrease in English Spinach and Yellow Squash this week. Don't forget to include the Greens in your meal for a healthy diet.
Fruits:
It is one of our most loved fruits but unfortunately the situation with Bananas hasn't improved yet. They have gone higher in price and the quality is questionable. Fuji Apples and Gala Apples are still high in price again this week. Also, Honeydew, Plums and Limes have gone up in price. There has been a slight increase in price of both variety of Watermelon (Long and Seedless).
However, Rock melons, Kiwifruits, Peaches and Nectarines have dropped down in price this week. Also, we have noticed a slight price decrease in Medium and Large strawberries variety.
Stock up on the juicy Stone fruits while they are around during this season at a low price.
Kindly Note:-
-Cherries and Apricots are not available in the market anymore.
-Mangoes are also coming to their season end and will be finishing soon.
-Mandarins are not available at this moment but we are expecting them to return to the market in April.
