In light to the Governments closures of schools in Alberta, Viva Musica will be moving all lessons online as a safety precaution of this COVID-19 virus prevention. Even though our lessons are mostly one on one or in small groups under 6 people at one time, we have prepared our MMS platform to facilitate this change.
We are here for our students best interest to continuing their learning, despite the current event. Children who are staying home without school may experience various emotional phases and it is best for adults (Parents & Teachers) to support them to carry out their learning routine as much as we can.
We would like to inform you that our My Music StaffStudent Portal can support our online learning during the current situation. Although many parents may not think online video conferencing is as effective as face to face teacher student learning. This is the best solution we can do to ensure students are keeping up their learning while they are staying home the whole time without school or physical activities.
If you haven't set up a login for the My Music StaffPortal, we can resend you the link to do so. If you have any questions about setting this up, please do not hesitate to ask either myself (Katie) or Ms. Jessica.
All group classes will need to use Skype as it allows multiple caller interface. If your child has a private lesson with us, and you would prefer to use a different program such as WhatsApp or WeChat etc, please contact us and we can do our best to facilitate.
We would like to keep everything on our login portal with MMS (My Music Staff & Skype) as much as we can to facilitate the online lessons.
