A Letter from Omnis Financial Planning

Dear <<First Name>>,

As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly escalate in Australia and around the world, we wanted to update all of our clients and key stakeholders on the measures Omnis Group has been putting in place.

The priority of any measure has been for the safety of our team and our clients, whilst endeavouring to have business continuity for everyone throughout this period.

We need to ensure we maintain the health and safety of our people and all we come into contact with. We also understand the importance we play as an advisor to many different client groups with the services that support you in the decisions you make in relation to your own financial wellbeing. We envisage that there will be many decisions that need to be made over the coming months as we expect “normal” business conditions will change dramatically.

To prepare and manage our business through this period, Omnis Group has implemented a number of policies aimed at keeping our people safe.

We will continue to monitor government directives and releases in relation to best practice measures; we expect to see continual updates as the situation changes.

As you may be aware, we have been heavily investing in secure online programmes for our team to utilise to deliver service. We have little or no “paper” records; everything is hosted in a cloud environment. This is in line with best practice and allows us to have complete flexibility when operating from remote locations. We do not expect the supply of this technology to be interrupted.

Consequently, we can continue to serve you, if (when) our office is no longer allowed to be open. We are planning for the worst but praying for the best!

All team members have access to “soft” phones (phones diverted to their computers) and transportable laptop devices with access to all the information they need to deliver continued service.

We utilise remote team software such as Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams to communicate with each other or clients should the need arise. Zoom and Skype are free and we suggest that you download this free software as it may become a key communication tool should the country be placed into lock down. We are ready to use these collaboration tools if we are required to work away from our office.

Personal Health and Safety

Our key focus is to ensure our team and clients continue to be safe and, consequently, we have initiated additional cleaning measures to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in our workplace.

To ensure we effectively manage this risk we are asking for all non-essential meetings to be either rescheduled or held via telephone, Zoom or other conferencing and collaboration platforms.

Where a face to face meeting is absolutely necessary, we will meet but request that a distance of 1.5m between our team and clients be adhered to at all times, (Sorry, we won’t be shaking hands either).

We have also requested that our team minimise the meetings to be of help at other offices.

It is imperative that we take these measures seriously to help restrict the potential spread of COVID-19 to our team, clients and loved ones.

Working Through this Together

This is a challenging time for everyone. Omnis Group is committed to working with our people, clients, suppliers and other key stakeholders to listen, take advice and act decisively to help our team and clients get through this period.

As things change we will keep you posted through further correspondence.

If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me on 08 9380 3555.

Kind regards,

Daniel Morcombe BSc Adv DFP
