There are times when all of us need to put our role as citizens above self-interest and this is clearly one of those times.
JMM will be closed to the public effective tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17. We will re-open as soon as the demands of public health allow. Though our brick and mortar doors will be closed, our staff is busy working on ways we can engage with you while maintaining social distance.
For instance:
Staff is already hard at work building our web content so we can all stay connected and learn together, including:
- Exhibit highlight videos
- Living History performance clips
- Synagogue tour excerpts
- Collections encounters
We are also working on an exciting project called Wondernauts, an online companion to our upcoming Jews in Space exhibit. We’ll be sending you a weekly newsletter – JMM Insights: Pandemic Edition – starting this Thursdayto keep you up to date on new digital offerings and more.
You have my personal guarantee that this newsletter is antiseptic, so feel free to pass it on to your friends.
Better yet, have your friends reach out (metaphorically) to Rachel Kassman (rkassman@jewishmuseummd.org) and get added to our mailing list!
