Dear GGHH Family and HCWH Partners in Asia,
We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to all of you, our health workers, medical professionals, and scientists, who are in the front line battling the COVID-19 global pandemic. We admire your bravery and resolute commitment to your mission to do no harm despite the risks and burdens this crisis is putting on you, and your family.
More than a Network, we are family, your safety is very important to us. That is why this is also the time to re-echo our call for a safe, resilient, and accessible healthcare for all, especially for all the healthcare workers that ensures the health of our planet and our general public. Let us also ensure that the practice of sustainable medical waste management, through proper segregation, collection and disposal of all COVID-19 related wastes are properly practiced. We encourage you that even with the threat of COVID-19 waste management systems should not breakdown.
We also would like to reiterate that this is the time to be unswerving in our practice of reducing single-use plastics specially on non-medical use that may become a vehicle of virus transmission and cause other problems like worsening of the global plastic pollution.
Despite the challenges, we must band together to continuously educate our staff and our communities with the right information as leaders of resilience committed to protect public health.
Again, thank you very much for your service and know that we are here for you.
