Just like everyone else, we're making some schedule changes in response to the coronavirus.
  1. Thursday, March 19, 6:30-8 p.m.: Our monthly meeting at Love2Eat will instead take place as a video conference, using the Zoom app (zoom.us). If you want to join us (and you are all welcome!) you can use a large variety of desktop or mobile devices. If you intend to take part, SEND AN EMAIL TO TERRI AT TERRIM@CROZETTRAILSCREW.ORG to get a meeting invitation, Please do this prior to 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting so you have time to install and troubleshoot the app on your own device before the meeting begins.
  2. Saturday, March 21 Guided trail walk to Lickinghole Basin has been cancelled. We'll reschedule when it seems prudent.
  3. Monday, March 30 work day with WAHS students has been cancelled.
Although we've been asked to practice Social Distancing, it's still a great time to take a walk outside in the fresh air. We are so fortunate to have lovely trails, from the Crozet Greenway here in town, to Mint Springs just a short bike ride away, even to the Shenandoah National Park, a destination for people from around the nation, practically in our own backyard. So go out and enjoy the spring!
Work Continues in Mint Springs

Last Saturday's work group consisted of building a stage and benches at Mint Springs. The stage is finished, 52 holes for benches were dug, and one bench was finished. Over the next couple weeks, small groups will be going out to finish up the benches. If you're on the weekday work group mailing list, you'll get notifications. If you're not, and have time for some bench building, email David at davidmiyamoto@comcast.net.

Will You Be "Eyes On the Trail"?

Here's a way you can help out the Trails Crew, even if coming to work days isn't feasible for you. We need people who regularly walk or run the trails to let us know if there's any place that needs some TLC. Will you sign up to be a trail ambassador for your favorite section of trail? We would expect an email from you once a month, or when you notice any issue, to  us know that all is well, or that a tree or branches need trimming back, mowing is in order, repairs are needed...you get the gist! If you are willing to adopt a part of the trail, send an email to Terri at terrim@crozettrailscrew.org.
