Hello fellow dancer,
We are sorry to say that until further notice we have cancelled, or rather, postponed Monday night dances!
With the pandemic situation being so fluid, we decided to cancel tonight's dance and wait for a time when we can begin again.
Sorry this is so late!
Please help us get the word out by telling others who dance of this news.
The message sent out last Friday represented where we all were on that day.
Since then everything has moved on. We've had much discussion behind the scene with strong arguments both for continuing as well as stopping. In the end we decided that cancelling now, rather than later, would be best for all. As well as the most socially responsible.
All other dance teachers have also had to make the tough decision to cancel their events.
Hamid, who was due to have led this evening, writes:
Reflecting on Corona I think neither panic or fear are helpful responses. For me these are not the reasons for cancelling the Monday Night Dance, however it has become clear that cancelling might prevent people from dying.
Looking forward
Until we physically begin meeting again, we will look for creative ways to keep in contact and maintain the sense of dance community that nourishes us all.
An area we will be looking into is using Zoom conferencing (this being an online skype-type service). We hope to continue on Monday evenings in an online way.

We will let you know what is planned for each Monday evening we are not physically meeting.
The website will be the main source of news.
When we know the date to recommence we will, of course, send out an email.
Info will also be posted to Facebook.
Please though refer to the website as the main source as, from an admin standpoint, that is easiest to deal with.
