  • You may pick up lunch from any school for your convenience. Your child does not need to attend one of the listed schools to receive lunch but must be present when picking up lunch.
  • Meals are available for all children under age 18, you do not need to have received meal assistance in the past or show any eligibility
  • If you do not have transportation, Stacy Keegan is coordinating pickup/ deliveries for Proctor families.  Reach out to her at Stacykeegan@hotmail.com
If you would like meal support this week, Chevy's Fresh Mex is offering free meals for kids age 12 and under, dine in or take out.  No strings, no contingencies, all locations.

MENTAL HEALTH

Early intervention is one of the most important ways to prevent long term mental health problems. If students are struggling with emotional overwhelm, mental health challenges or safety issues due to school closures, they can call our Integrated Wellness Center Warmline at 707-890-3827.

This is not a crisis line. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

To learn about local resources, call 2-1-1.

Santa Rosa City Schools Integrated Wellness Center will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 11:00am - 3:00pm, by appointment (call 707-890-3827 to make an appointment).

SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONAL SCHEDULE

Information will continue to come from SRCS about learning support for all students.  In the meantime, here is a this sample Instructional Schedule you can try with your kids in preparation for an extended time out of school.  This is from NESCA with credit to Jessica Hale Photography.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

We understand there are many concerns around COVID-19, and the amount of information available can be overwhelming. For the latest information on COVID-19 from a reliable community source, we recommend you visit the Sonoma County Emergency website:
https://socoemergency.org/emergency/novel-coronavirus/

Sonoma County also has an information and resource hotline: dial 2-1-1 on your phone, or text your zip code to 898211, which lets you text with a 2-1-1 call taker who can answer questions.

DINNER, DISCO AND AUCTION - CANCELED

It is with great sadness that we have had to cancel the DDA on March 28th.  The committee will be meeting over the next two weeks to determine next steps.  We hope to find ways to celebrate and support Proctor in these unprecedented times.

Since the event has been cancelled, we will be issuing you a refund for your purchase.  You can expect to see your refund in 7-10 days (at the most).  If you would like to donate your purchase to the school, please email Andi Staby (andi.staby@gmail.com) directly by Wednesday, 3/18.  If she does not hear from you by then, you will receive a refund.

Please do not feel obligated to donate your ticket purchase.  These are incredibly uncertain times in so many ways.  There will be other opportunities to support the school, and what is important right now is doing what is right for your family.

MORE CARDBOARD, PLEASE!

Carla is still looking for cardboard to finish the sheet mulching!  Deliver your flattened cardboard to the outside Garden gate (off Bryden, near the bike path).  Add it to the tidy pile for a future work date.  Bonus karma if you remove tape and staples!

(Unless you need it for a fort!)

MURAL:  CALL FOR ARTISTS!

Proctor Terrace PTA is the recipient of an exciting City of Santa Rosa Community Improvement Grant. Thank you to Carmen Works for writing the grant! The grant will support a new back-to-school event on August 29 (save the date!), and support the work of one or more artists to work with our community to create a mural on two or more school building walls

Do you know an artist who is good in working with community that would like to partner with us on a mural project?  Artists are invited to apply to work with us in creating the mural and building community at Proctor Terrace. Details are available here. Please forward this to any artists that you think might be interested. Deadline is March 31, 2020.

You can direct questions to PTES parent Minona Heaviland via email at minona@gmail.com

Mural proposals will be discussed at the April 14 PTA Meeting.

YEARBOOK: PHOTOS NEEDED

Please send in photos for the 2019/2020 Yearbook

Katrin Taylor is working on the layout and we are in need of classroom activity pics (field trips, class parties, etc), after school sports, 6th grader baby pics and Spirit Days.

If you signed up to help with designing your classroom page, please reach out to me so we can coordinate. Thanks so much!
