COVID-19: Faculty of Education Update
In response to COVID-19, the Faculty has convened a Rapid Response Team to coordinate a Faculty-wide protocol.
The Rapid Response Team has set up a COVID-19 web page with Faculty procedures, decisions and recommendations. Please bookmark the web page to receive up-to-date information on the Faculty’s continued response to COVID-19.

Temporary Work from Home Arrangements
In light of UBC’s announcement of the 3-week pilot of “Temporary Work from Home Arrangements”, the Faculty of Education fully supports this approach and recommends that faculty, staff, student employees and postdoctoral fellows work remotely wherever possible.
This is a temporary pilot program for three weeks at this time. As the advice from the Provincial Health Officer and the BCCDC evolves, the University will continue to assess the efficacy of this program and determine whether it will be necessary to extend or modify it.

Faculty-Sponsored Event Update
At this time the Faculty is suspending events that have an expected attendance of 50 people or more. This suspension is in effect immediately and applies to all events scheduled between now and the end of April. The Faculty’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Team will re-assess the situation weekly and will provide updates as the situation evolves.
