Due to the current Pandemic of the Corona-virus, the Walkerton Park Department is hereby postponing practices and contacts with players of all sports through April 3. This includes Ballet. The Park Board will be collaborating with the Walkerton Town Board to develop protocols for our programs.
The Park Board will continue to diligently follow this fast-developing situation, re-evaluate and possibly extend the postponement depending on how the situation develops.
There will be no financial burden to any families. If seasons are canceled, refunds will be made.
This decision is not made lightly. We recognize that players are eager to get started. However, we feel that at this time, we should err on the side of caution for the best interest of our children and community. This decision is also based off the recommendations of Indiana Soccer League.
At this time, we encourage our players to still practice at home if they are able. Also, the soccer fields will be open and available for families to utilize independently if they would like to use them for exercise and/or practicing. Please utilize caution and provide distance if others are utilizing the fields at the same time. Below are some links that show easy practices that players can work on at home.
