To the entire Foster Angels Family,

As news continues to surface around COVID-19 in our community, our number one concern is the safety and well-being of the children and families we serve, our generous supporters and staff. For at least the next week, our office will be closed and our team will be working remotely. However, we are still working to ensure we are meeting the needs of children and youth in foster care. Right now, our main focus is providing access to groceries and ensuring any youth who are displaced from either dorms or lack of work to pay their rent have a safe place to stay.

As many of you may have heard, the City of Austin has mandated cancellations of events over 250 people through May 1 which affects many of our spring events, namely our Shining Stars Luncheon. Please be patient with us as we work with our speaker and venue to reschedule this important fundraiser for the work that we do.

In the meantime, please consider supporting the children and families we serve by making a donation to provide families with access to groceries or to cover rent for a young adult who will likely be unable to work as a result of so many event cancellations and business closures.

Sincerely,
Tania Leskovar-Owens
