Fireside Meeting, Tuesday 4/28 11 A.M.

The announcement from Governor Pritzker extending the stay-at-home order does indicate there *could* be some allowance for libraries providing curbside service. This executive order has not been shared yet, but I want to let you know that SWAN is preparing for some system changes to assist you with providing additional, limited services. RAILS has issued some guidelines for libraries considering curbside service and/or phased reopening, which you can find on the RAILS COVID-19 pulse page.

SWAN has drafted its own reopening plan with 5 Phases. Our plan will be shared next week and it will detail the next steps of preparing our member libraries for curbside service, updating Enterprise, holds, and online training in modified work processes.

COVID-19 Library Reopening Survey Due Friday 5/1

A COVID-19 Reopening Survey has been developed to help identify reopening concerns and needs across the membership. Please complete the survey by May 1, 2020. We will share findings, as well as continue polling the membership with surveys as we move through reopening phases.

We are encouraging SWAN libraries to share their reopening plans by attaching your written plan in email to help@swanlibraries.net. We will post these online for the membership.
