A difficult decision from
Apostle Islands Booksellers...

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Apostle Islands Booksellers has made the difficult decision to close our doors to the public effective immediately. We are very sad to make this choice as we know books, browsing, and good conversation are so very important to help us through challenging times. However, our community’s health and safety is our number one priority. The medical, scientific and public health experts are telling all of us of the need for taking quick action to significantly reduce social interactions and practice social distancing in order to “flatten the curve.”

That said, we will not be 100% closed. We will still have a staff member on hand from Noon-4pm Wednesday through Saturday to manage online orders, curbside pickups, and local deliveries. Here is what we have planned:

1. Store will be staffed from Noon to 4:00pm Wednesdays through Saturdays where we will handle phone calls, take orders, and offer reading recommendations. Orders can be processed by phone at 715-779-0200, via email at info@apostleislandsbooksellers.com, or through our online store at www.apostleislandsbooksellers.com with discounted shipping.
2. We are happy to arrange curbside pickup for orders. Please call or email us to coordinate.
3. We will also provide free home delivery to customers within the Chequamegon Bay community, especially those in need, dependent upon our staff’s continuing health and community wide restrictions that may be applied.
4. We hope to provide same or next day delivery for those books already in stock, and 3-5 business days for those books we need to order. Please note, deliveries maybe delayed by COVID-19.
