Good afternoon everyone!
After receiving updated information from the National Institutes of Health regarding the COVID-19 virus being able to live up to 3 days on plastic (such as book covers), along with guidance from both the ALA and the NH State Library, we have made the tough decision to terminate curbside pickup effective Friday, March 20th at 5 p.m. This was not an easy decision to make as we’ve greatly enjoyed providing this service to our patrons but the health and safety of everyone must take priority!
Please hold on to any items you already have at home as we have closed the outdoor book return. Do not worry about due dates- we are not charging fines during this time and items can be returned when we reopen! Interlibrary loan (ILL) service has also been suspended so please hold on to these items as well. Please note that any ILL requests that have been made and not fulfilled as of yet will be handled when services start up again.
Don’t forget that all cardholders have access to downloadable audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, TV shows, movies, music and graphic novels via hoopla and OverDrive/Libby. Cardholders also have access to our databases, many of which are accessible from home. Should you need internet access our WiFi works in the parking lot so just bring your own device!
Staff will still be here in the Library and are available to answer any questions you may have, either by phone or email. Also, if your library card is about to expire we can renew your card over the phone.
We hope to reopen on April 6, 2020 but please be sure to keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more information. Thank you all for your cooperation and patience! And thank you very much for all of your support we’ve received from you as well… this has helped make our week a little sunnier!
