COVID-19 Update for Volunteers
As we have previously expressed, the situation with COVID-19 is constantly changing, and requires us to make decisions quickly and thoughtfully to ensure the continued safety of our employees, volunteers, clients, and families.

We continued to receive ongoing information regarding COVID-19 from the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario, and use this information to help us make decisions about our COVID-19 infection prevention measures.
All volunteers that develop a fever, an unexplained cough, or difficulty breathing should not come to the Meals on Wheels office, or visit any clients under any circumstances. Please call or email Volunteer Resources and inform us of your situation. As well, if you choose not to continue volunteering at this time, please let us know so that we can make other arrangements for clients to receive meals or have a security/health call.
Updated Guidelines Regarding Visitors to Circle of Care

At this time, we are restricting access to our Circle of Care head office. A small number of select employees will be allowed to enter our offices.

Volunteers are being asked to call or email us rather than coming into the office.

We will also be implementing heavier screening on Personal Support Workers who are coming to the office to pick up supplies, and implementing social distancing as much as possible
Letter Mailed to our Clients Addressing COVID-19
This week, our 16,000 clients will receive a letter from CEO Carey Lucki that addresses COVID-19. The letter has been sent in both English and Russian.

The letter seeks to educate clients and their families about the importance of infection prevention, as well as highlighting the key measures that Circle of Care is undertaking to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19.

The letter is also available to the public on our website.

Update on Program Cancellations and Service Suspensions
We continue to make decisions regarding the suspension of some our programs and services.

An up-to-date list of our program cancellations is posted to our website. We ask that you direct clients and their families to our website if they enquire about programs being cancelled.

How to Self-Isolate and/or Self-Monitor
Some of our volunteers may be required to self-isolate and/or self-monitor in the coming days as they return from trips abroad.

Public Health Ontario has put together resources regarding self-isolation and self-monitoring for COVID-19. These resources can also be found on our website.
