A weekly peek into the Women's Ministry at HGBC

Challenges abound as we face the effects of COVID-19.  And yet... God has given us new time with families, a slowing of our frenzied pace and new avenues to connect with each other. I am praying that God blesses you and encourages you and keeps you safe during these unprecedented times.
I have had several women reach out to me with a desire to be a part of an online Bible study discussion. I have created a survey to help determine the overall interest level and what the optimum time frames might be.
Each week, participants will complete daily homework from the selected book as well as view a video in their own homes. Then at a designated time weekly, the group would meet via the Zoom Video Conferencing App.
Please help me determine the level of interest by completing the survey by noon on Monday March 23rd so that I can begin setting up our groups.

At this time, we are still planning to participate in our April 25th Women's Serve Day. We will all serve in one location at Feed My Starving Children at 1680 N. Glenville Drive, Suite 300, in Richardson. They have closed their operation until April 12th.  I will be monitoring them and will let you know if that is extended.  If we are able to participate, our task from 8:45-11 that morning, will be to pack and label meals developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition.
Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. Hunger causes nearly half of deaths in children under 5. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. We have reserved 100 volunteer slots to serve that morning.  Mark your calendars now and sign up to serve on April 25th.
